HealthCheck is launched, to help solve web based DDA issues

Medifile today launched HealthCheck - an initiative aimed at making web sites fully accessible and conformant to the latest guidelines and standards. Under the Disability Discrimination Act, which comes into full affect in 2004, public service information has to be made accessible to those with disabilities. Interestingly, the Office of e-Envoy reports that 78% of public sector web sites fail to meet accessibility standards set out by the Disability Discrimination Act.

Aintree Hospitals NHS Trust choose Medifiles tools

As part of its information development strategy, Aintree Hospitals NHS Trust have choosen Medifile to develop its web presence incorporating a full suite of Medifiles content management tools. The suite includes Job:zone, which uses the latest technology to synchronise itself between the website and the intranet, to half the amount of work need to keep the two seperate systems up to date.

Essex Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services website

It also houses extensive listings of local mental health services and organisations, providing a comprehensive 'one stop shop' for on and offline resources, helping to promoting a vital channel of communication for views and feedback.

Medifiles portal solution for the borough of Hillingdon goes live

Hillingdon community portal for the London Borough of Hillingdon, developed by medifile has now been launched and is available at the address below. Organisations involved are the local Council, PCT, Hospital, Voluntary organisations and Social services. Our XML based solution will provide a single gateway to information pulled from all of the member sites with the minimun of maintenance. The portal will provide access to all local services, health information, events and Community based publications.
